Every appointment follows a consistent, thoughtful process — one that prioritizes your pet's comfort from arrival to departure.
We start every appointment with a brief consultation — asking about sensitivities, preferred style, and how your pet has been since their last visit.
We thoroughly brush the coat before bathing to remove loose fur, identify any mats, and prepare the coat for shampooing.
We select shampoo and conditioner based on your pet's coat type and skin condition, ensuring thorough rinsing to avoid any residue.
Professional drying followed by any trimming, scissoring, or styling requested — working carefully around sensitive areas.
Nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw tidying, and a thorough once-over complete the appointment. We share any notable observations with you on pickup.

Your pet's grooming needs shift with the seasons. Use our interactive checklist to see what to focus on throughout the year.
Many dogs and cats shed seasonally. Spring and autumn are peak grooming periods.
Road salt and cold surfaces require special paw pad attention during Toronto winters.
We don't rush appointments. We don't push pets beyond what they're comfortable with on a given day. Your pet's experience matters as much as the end result.
Our Full StoryWe adapt the pace of every appointment to the individual pet, even if it takes longer.
We share observations about coat health, skin condition, and behavior after every visit.
Our team regularly updates training in breed standards and animal welfare practices.
Whether a nail trim or full groom, every appointment receives the same level of care.
Regular at-home care between professional appointments helps maintain your pet's coat health and makes their grooming experience easier.
Even short-coated dogs benefit from a weekly brush. It distributes natural oils, removes loose fur, and is a good opportunity to check for skin changes.
A quick visual inspection of the outer ear canal once a week helps catch any unusual buildup early. Floppy-eared dogs warrant more frequent checks.
If you can hear nails clicking on hard floors, it's time for a trim. Long nails affect posture and can cause discomfort during walking.
Use shampoo formulated for pets — human products are typically not pH-appropriate for animal skin. Ask your groomer for product recommendations.
After walks, quickly check behind ears, under the collar, and in armpits — areas where friction creates tangles most easily in medium and long-coated dogs.
Consistent professional appointments are far easier on your pet than infrequent visits. Discuss an appropriate schedule with your groomer.

Have Another Question? Before your dog's first groom, practice gentle handling at home — touching paws, ears, and around the face. Ensure they've relieved themselves before the appointment. Let us know about any sensitivities when you book.
We groom a wide range of breeds from small dogs like Yorkies through to larger breeds including Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs. If you have a breed with specific requirements or complex needs, please contact us before booking.
Appointment length varies depending on the service, breed, and coat condition. A bath and brush for a small dog might take 1.5-2 hours, while a full groom on a large breed may take 3-4 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when you book.
We recommend discussing timing with your vet first. Many groomers, including us, can accommodate puppies from around 12-16 weeks with veterinary guidance. Our puppy introduction session is designed for young dogs and focuses on a gentle, positive first experience.
Please let us know when you book if your pet has known sensitivities or allergies. We carry shampoos and conditioners formulated for sensitive skin and will select products accordingly. A note from your vet about recommended product types is very helpful.
We assess matting at the start of every appointment. Minor matting can usually be worked out during the groom. Severe matting close to the skin may require shaving down, as brushing it out can cause significant discomfort. We'll always discuss the situation with you before proceeding.
